Screening of the Documentary, “The Connection”
Thursday, October 12, 7-9pm; Oglethorpe University
Join us on the campus of Oglethorpe University for a public screening of the film The Connection, followed by a Q&A with the film’s director, Shannon Harvey.
The film features a line-up of internationally recognized experts including Dr. Herbert Benson, Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and many others. The film also includes remarkable true stories of people adding mind body medicine to their healing toolkit to recover from severe back pain, heart disease, infertility, cancer and multiple sclerosis.
At a time when one in two people will be diagnosed with a chronic disease in their lifetime and the global cost of healthcare for chronic illness is in the trillions, the film offers answers to difficult challenges and proves that you can change your mind, change your health and change your life.
This promises to be a wonderful evening watching an enlightening film, having a spirited discussion and ending with a light reception while networking and community-building. The film will be of interest to health and wellness professionals, medical doctors, nurses, mental health therapists, patients, mind/body experts, university students, faculty, mindfulness teachers, yoga teachers, and the general public.
All the way from Sydney Australia!
