The founding director of the Mindfulness Center of Atlanta, Mark Dannenfelser is a licensed professional counselor in private practice and a registered yoga
teacher. In addition, he is an adjunct lecturer at Spring Hill College and the Contemplative Outreach commissioned presenter of the Centering Prayer
method for the Aquinas Center of Theology at Emory University.
Mark holds a Master Degree in Counseling Psychology from Montclair University and a Master Degree in Pastoral Studies from Spring Hill College. In addition, Mark holds a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Spring Hill College.
Having completed the MBSR teacher development intensive training
program taught by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Saki Santorelli, and senior staff from
the Center for Mindfulness (CFM) at the University of Massachusetts
Medical Center, Mark is a CFM Qualified Teacher of MBSR. He has
completed training in the Mindful Schools Curriculum, Yoga Therapy
in Cancer & Chronic Illness Professional Training with Integral Teachers
Yoga Association, and Clinical Training in Mind- Body Medicine, by
Herbert Benson, MD, Mind/Body Medical Institute.
