Mindfulness Center of Atlanta
Scientific research shows evidence that mindfulness training can:
- Increase your ability to cope with stress, pain and other health conditions by reducing stress hormones and inflammation markers
- Increase your cognitive functioning, creativity, insight, mental clarity and awareness, and reduce rumination
- Increase your emotional resilience by activating positive emotion circuits
- Increase your serotonin levels, supporting positive mood, better sleep and digestion
“Mindfulness is simply being aware of what is happening right now without wishing it were different; enjoying the pleasant without holding on when it changes (which it will); being with the unpleasant without fearing it will always be this way (which it won’t).” ~James Baraz
What our clients are saying…
Mindfulness is “paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, and non judgmentally” (Jon Kabat-Zinn 1994).
